Description:
AMERICO Crianza is a distinguished wine hailing from the renowned Toro Appellation, proudly presenting a harmonious blend of tradition, craftsmanship, and natural excellence. Crafted from 100% Tinta de Toro grapes, this wine boasts a robust 14.5% alcohol content, exemplifying the rich heritage of the Toro region. With deep cherry-red hues and garnet rims, it offers an enticing visual experience.
Tasting Notes:
This wine enchants the palate with a symphony of flavors. You’ll discover captivating notes of black fruits, luscious blueberries, and plums, complemented by the essence of ripe grapes. Subtle nuances of well-integrated toasted wood, reminiscent of cocoa and coffee, add depth while preserving a delightful freshness. On the palate, AMERICO Crianza is a structured and weighty delight, with velvety, ripe tannins that provide an intense and elegant complexity.
Harvesting and Elaboration:
Our commitment to environmentally friendly agriculture is evident in the integral and sustainable farming practices at our family-owned vineyard. Dry-farmed vines, aged between 50 and 80 years, flourish in sandy, pebbly soils, yielding low, quality-focused yields. Grapes are meticulously hand-harvested and carefully processed using traditional methods. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in French and American oak barrels. The result is a wine that marries tradition with innovation, refined through aging for a minimum of 12 months.
Gastronomy:
AMERICO Crianza is the perfect accompaniment to robust, savory dishes. It shines when served alongside strong meats, roasted or grilled, as well as in hearty stews and game dishes. Its versatility extends to pairing beautifully with cured cheeses and Iberian sausages, making it a remarkable addition to your culinary adventures.
Label Artwork:
Our label is a stunning creation by the renowned artist Carlos Adeva, inspired by the travels of “La Pinta” transporting Toro wines, tracing the routes charted by Americo Vespucci. In the historic context of Toro, where the “Board of Navigators” convened in 1505 and King Fernando “El Católico” granted Castilian citizenship, this label captures the spirit of exploration and discovery.
Official Wine of the Ibero-American Summits:
AMERICO Crianza holds the esteemed title of the official wine of the Ibero-American Summits, a testament to its exceptional quality and prestige.
Storage Recommendation:
To fully savor the complexity and character of AMERICO Crianza, we recommend storing it in a cool, dark place at a consistent temperature between 16ºC to 18ºC (60ºF to 64ºF). Allow the wine to rest undisturbed, and when the time comes to uncork a bottle, you’ll be rewarded with a wine that has reached its peak of maturity and flavor.
